Pleshey Forge was founded in the 1960’s by Harold Clements. As a traditional blacksmith, Harold built up the business using a coke forge to bend shape and create anything a customer required from steel and this included people bring their horses to the original old Pleshey Forge to be shod.
Pleshey Forge has developed strong business links with numerous local builders over the years along with the general public, for all their structural and architectural requirements. In this time we have earned an excellent reputation for the quality of our work. With everything made to order we are confident our customers always achieves the finish they want.
In 2007 when Harold retired Pleshey Forge Ltd was born.
The business was handed down to Harold’s son Ian, along with Shane Rayner who had worked for Harold since he was 13.
The newly formed partnership of Ian & Shane has grown the business year on year, entering into the highly competitive large structural steelwork projects, fabricating anything from a single beam up to 100+ton steel frame buildings. We are UKCA certified to fabricated steel structures up to execution class 2. While still continuing the traditional family values of Pleshey Forge and producing beautiful, bespoke gates and railings thought out Essex, London and beyond.
